AUBURN — Spring practices wrapped for Auburn football on Saturday, which took its annual A-Day spring game and converted it to something else.
Like several other college football programs around the country, Auburn's spring game turned into a non-televised practice. While the Tigers spent most of the day working individual drills, they went into a live period toward the end, seeing offense and defense go head to head.
The lowkey affair didn't seem to hamper attendance, with nearly half of Jordan-Hare Stadium's lower bowl filled by fans who stuck around afterwards for post-practice autograph and photo opportunities on Pat Dye Field.
Admission was free, and fans were informed ahead of Saturday that seating was available in the lower bowl, except for the north end zone, which is undergoing construction ahead of the 2025 season.
Official attendance wasn't taken Saturday, according to a program spokesperson, but based on eyeball estimates, that total would've been nearing 30,000 attendees, lining up with recent A-Day attendance totals.
