The 2026 NBA Draft concluded without an Auburn Tiger being selected. However, one quickly picked up an undrafted free agent deal.
The Miami Heat signed former Auburn forward Keyshawn Hall to an Exhibit 10 deal late Wednesday. Hall joins a Heat squad that has had a busy week after completing a blockbuster trade that added superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo to their roster.
An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year deal with a non-guaranteed minimum salary, which includes an invite to training camp. The Heat can waive Hall, and Hall could join the Heat's G-League affiliate, which could turn his deal into a two-way contract that would allow him to split time between the NBA and G-League, similar to what Dylan Cardwell started with last season before signing a four-year deal with the Sacramento Kings.
Most mock drafts had Hall going late in the second round. A week before the draft, USA TODAY had him going at the No. 53 pick to the Houston Rockets. Early on Wednesday, before the second round began, Bleacher Report had Hall heading to the Minnesota Timberwolves at No. 59. While every player dreams about being drafted, being signed by the Heat could be a better situation for Hall. Miami will be one of the favorites in the NBA after acquiring one of professional basketball's best players.
While in college, Hall showed his ability to score points. He was the leading scorer for the Tigers at 19.3 points per game and led the team in rebounding at 7.1 per game. During his one season at UCF before joining Auburn, Hall led the Big 12 in scoring, 18.8 points per game.
Hall has the range to be a threat from beyond the three-point line, but also has the driving ability to score around the basket. He is also good at creating contact to get to the foul line. A big part of his game that will need to be refined is on the defensive end of the floor. Hall could be one of the best signings of all the undrafted players in the 2026 NBA Draft.
