The Atlanta Braves look to continue as the only team in MLB to not lose a series after going 10-3 after thirteen straight games in their own division. The Tigers have been good in their own right being in first place in their division while sporting one of the best top three rotation arms in the sport.
Casey Mize will be taking the mound for Detroit and he is on track to have the best season of his career if he can continue to pitch like he is. Martin Pérez has been a pleasant surprise for the Braves in the back end of their rotation, but he is showing signs that a regression is coming soon.
The Braves and their MLB leading 5.72 runs per game look to stay hot and break into the Tigers’ bullpen which has clearly been the Achilles heal of the team.
First pitch is at 7:15 EDT.
