Conservative can't be exciting. That's the whole message of the modern NFL — they're gonna make it as easy as possible for you to create big plays. If you're not trying to score 27 points a game, what are you doing? Someone else is gonna do it to you.
I don't think that you can "Run well with quick-hitting short passes to WRs", and the Sam Bradford experience showed us why. The defenses today just collapse the 15 yards in front of the LOS and everything's gummed up.
A conservative offense that is "run the ball down their throat, and then bombs away off play action" can be pretty fun. I loved those Kerry Collins Giants teams that were basically that. But these dink-and-dunk offenses that are all 4-yard bubble screens that peter out if there's a 3rd and 7 are awful to watch.
