I never said Dillingham isn’t the guy here but I stand by my statement. As mentioned, Cignetti is a unicorn and that Indiana team is, until proven otherwise, a unicorn. Even if Indiana wins another one next year, it proves little to me.
Now, give me another team from a lower tier, who assembles a team mostly of 3 star players that runs the table and wins a ship and I’ll start to believe. Until then, talent wins out. It pretty much always has.
Clearly Cignetti is a better coach that Dillingham. Doesn’t mean that is permanent. What all this does is it does give hope to a bunch of fan bases…including ours.
