Except the problem is MLB doesn’t care much about results for pitchers they just want velocity. Overbay was pretty poor most of the season. Linder disappointed. Schaefer was good but had some memorable blow ups (Oklahoma walk off). Fitz was pretty good but shocked he got drafted so high. Klecker was really good at times and not so good. Alba was actually bad but had a lights out appearance in the regional. All these guys have velocity and MLB figures they can coach them up at throwing strikes
The pitching staff was good but inconsistent. Now Willie got his staff decimated by the draft and he has his work cut out for him.
His teams have gotten better every year. Can that streak continue?
