It's 2:15 pm with no signings to report.

The media room is not accessible to W/C, as are all the PR offices and players' lunch room. I get lunch room passes but can't use them so I won't be doing player interviews much.

I can't get to the players arrival area without blocking a narrow road between buildings, so I won't.

This ought to just be a blast. We'll see what happens tomorrow. At least we got our media passes.

Interesting way of handling the media this year. Much less access for everybody.

Denny Green will only address the media after each morning session. That's it.

Players and assistant coaches will be available as they come off the field after practice. That's it.

Media may not talk to players or coaches anywhere else. Not in the cafeteria, the dorms, or any other place on campus.

Afternoon practices start very late - at 3:30 or 4 pm - and only go an hour on many days.

This is all very different. Depending on how much there is to report, I may not stay here my full alloted 11 days.

I'm cancelling me trip. It does not appear to be worth the time. San Diego here I come.

We usually go for a few days. Seeing this makes me rethink going. I can't imagine the players being as approachable as before.

We'll just have to pack up the kids and go somewhere else.

HHmmm, Viking training camp under Denny was pretty open as I was an employee from a companythat was a corporate sponsor and was on the field in the lunch room etc along with the press. Press was all over the place.

Maybe Denny is taking this approach to really limit distractions and get a very strong control over the players. Denny has always pushed the concept of the team being a family and keeping everything within the family. Not saying this is good or bad just looks like that is what he is doing.
