Arman Tsarukyan is aiming shots at Colby Covington.
Covington recently sued Jorge Masvidal over an incident from 2022. Tsarukyan took a shot at Covington, who used to call himself the “King of Miami.’”Tsarukyan proclaimed himself the “Real King of Miami,” while promising not to file lawsuits over fights.
“The Real King of Miami. Don't worry, I don't sue when I get in a fight.”
Covington (17-5) defeated former training partner Masvidal (37-15) via unanimous decision in a grudge match at UFC 272 in March 2022. Masvidal attacked Covington just weeks later outside a Miami steakhouse. “Gamebred” accused Covington of crossing boundaries with his trash talk in the lead-up to their fight. Covington sued Masvidal, claiming to have suffered a broken tooth and damage to his luxury watch. Masvidal was found guilty of felony charges, which were later reduced to misdemeanor battery after he took a plea deal. Four years later, Covington has now filed a civil complaint, suing Masvidal for damages upwards of $50,000 sustained in the attack.
Meanwhile, Covington and Tsarukyan (23-3) have expressed mutual interest in a wrestling match at RAF. However, the UFC is allegedly not allowing its active fighters to compete against each other in wrestling matches.
