Antrim booked their place in the Tailteann Cup quarter-finals with a commanding 4-12 to 2-12 victory over Tipperary, while Fermanagh defeated Wexford 2-29 2-13 at Brewster Park.
It was a slow start to the match in Belfast with Paddy McAleer finally opening the scoring after nine minutes with Eoghan McCabe able to add another for the home side a minute later.
Points from James Morris and Sean O'Connor levelled the game before two points from Dominic McEnhill and Ryan McQuillan's goal put the home side ahead.
The away side tried to respond, but McQuillan blasted home and McCabe was then able to add a late point to give the Saffron's a 2-6 to 0-4 lead at the break.
Tipperary made a bright start to the second half with points from Charlie King, Paudie Feehan and Paddy Creedon and a two-point free from Sean O'Connor cutting the deficit.
However, as the half progressed, Antrim regained control with Conor Hand and Ronan Boyle hitting the net to extend their lead.
Steven O'Brien's goal and a fisted effort from Joe Higgins narrowed the gap, but it wasn't enough to complete a dramatic comeback for Tipperary who drop into Round Three as Antrim take the direct route into the last eight.
At Brewster Park, Fermanagh produced an emphatic display to overcome Wexford and join Antrim in the quarter-finals.
The Ernesiders had a healthy 0-12 to 0-5 lead at the break with Darragh McGurn contributing six points during a ruthless first-half display
Both sides exchanged earlier points after the restart before Sean Ryan netted the opening goal of the game for Wexford.
Fermanagh responded instantly through Stephen McGullion with Ryan then finding a way past Sean McNally once again.
However, on the hour mark, McGullion slotted home his second to give the home side more breathing space.
Points from Conor O'Hanlon, Ciaran Corrgan, Josh Largo Ellis and Darragh McGurn then secured the comfortable win as Wexford get ready for a second shot at reaching the quarters.
