JONESBORO, Ark. (KLRT) – The Arkansas State men’s golf team made history on Wednesday.
The Red Wolves punched their ticket to the 2026 NCAA National Championship after tying for fourth in the Marana Regional.
Arkansas State shot 24 under as a team, beating out Alabama for the last spot by one stroke.
“I can’t even describe the feeling, to be honest with you. Jake Wallace just asked me that at lunch, and I, I don’t know, I think I’ll feel it more, maybe when it actually becomes a little more real. Probably. But this is something you always, you know, try to compete for. And, what are we out here? This this this was the goal was the goal was to get through, obviously. And now that we did it, I don’t know how I feel. I feel great, but it’s just, it’s different,” head coach Mike Hagen said.
The finals will be held May 29-June 3 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
