SAN JOSE, Calif. — Arkansas basketball will play in its fifth Sweet 16 in the last six seasons later this week against one of the favorites to win the 2026 NCAA Tournament
The No. 4 Razorbacks (28-8) are in California for a showdown with No. 1 Arizona (34-2) in the West Regional Semifinal. Both teams cruised in the first round before receiving mild scares in their second March Madness contests. The Hogs edged High Point, while the Wildcats held off a late rally from Utah State.
This matchup might be the highlight of the entire Sweet 16 with NBA prospects littering the hardwood inside the SAP Center. John Calipari is hunting a first trip to the Elite Eight since 2019, while Tommy Lloyd is seeking a first-ever appearance in a regional final.

The Razorbacks and Wildcats will tipoff at 8:45 p.m. CT on Thursday, March 26. It will be 6:45 p.m. PT on the West Coast and immediately follow the other West Regional semifinal between Purdue and Texas.
The Razorbacks and Wildcats will air on CBS during the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. No TV designation has been revealed for a potential Elite Eight game.

Pringle went through some light warmups prior to the second round win over High Point. He was listed as questionable on the NCAA Tournament Availability Report going into both games.
Sophomore wing Karter Knox said he hoped to play in the Sweet 16, but his availability is doubtful. He was not moving well and shot off only one leg when seen on the floor during an open Arkansas practice last week. He underwent meniscus surgery in mid-February.
The Razorbacks are 6-2 against the Wildcats all-time, but the two programs have not met since the Preseason NIT in 1995.
The Hogs beat Arizona in the 1994 Final Four on their way to the first-and-only national title in program history.
Darius Acuff Jr. scored 36 points and was the Hogs' closer in a thrilling 94-88 victory over Cinderella High Point.
