Really good outing by Bratt. Shame that the offense can't do anything tonight for him. He's starting to get high enough in his PC that I really hope that Torey doesn't a pull a Torey and leave him out too long. I want to see the kid walk away from this game with some confidence.

Edit: and we come out of the commercial break with a pitching change. Good job by Torey tonight on it.

Gritty win… Management must be wrestling with whether or not this team is worth making moves to try to make a serious post season run. In a season where Marte, Carroll and Perdomo are having significant subpar seasons, is it really realistic they can make a legit post season push? Hard to believe it’s possible without those 3 pulling their weight.

They have what, 6 or 7 million to spend on free agents? They have Soraka, Burnes, Puk, and Martinez returning. That is more the 6-7 mil will ever buy them. Just wait it our and keep our young players

I'm concerned that Burnes will come back and immediately re-injure himself. I don't think we can rely on much from him. I think the Dbacks may make a small move or two at the deadline, but it will be relatively low cost. Every year the club thinks that getting people back from the IL is as good as an impact trade. That is usually BS.
