He should be DFA'd after today - certainly can't trade him (except perhaps for a bucket or two of balls). DBacks are finally hitting again but I don't think they can hang with the Braves lineup. This may be one of those 15-12 type of games.

Despite the win, that game was still horribly managed. Canzone, who until tonight, had never had a MLB hit, batted 6th as a righty on righty.

Carson Kelly hit 8th despite having an OBP of .189 versus righties.

The only thing I can think of is that he’s playing Carson Kelly with the hopes that he can get a little hard at the plate and increase the trade value.

Thats what i was thinking, showing other teams he is healthy for trade - the pitchers seem to actually pitch worse with him behind the plate.

If he's gonna play, then he should just be the full time catcher for Gallen, since they have a long, long history together.

Caught a quote by Brenly saying the club wanted to give our other Catcher a break, and from here on out it should be a 50/50 split in time.

Walkers stat line was pretty awesome, too. Made a couple plays at first base. The biggest part of the win or loss by Atlanta, was their three timely errors. That really sunk the game for them.

Kelly: Starts: 7 ABs: 22 Hits: 4 Walks: 0 Strikeouts: 6 Average 0.181

Moreno: Starts: 5 ABs: 16 Hits: 6 Walks: 3 Strikeouts: 5 Average 0.375

I will absolutely cheer when Torey is out of here.
