The Arizona Cardinals, a little banged up at linebacker, made a move to address the position on the practice squad. They announced the signing of linebacker Channing Tindall to the practice squad on Wednesday.

He replaces receiver Simi Fehoko, who was signed to the 53-man roster from the practice squad to replace safety Joey Blount, who suffered a season-ending neck injury in Week 1 and was placed on injured reserve.

Tindall was one of five linebackers to try out for the Cardinals on Tuesday.

Rookie linebacker Cody Simon is in concussion protocol, and linebacker Owen Pappoe played and practiced last week with a quadriceps injury.

Tindall was a third-round draft pick of the Miami Dolphins in 2022 and played three seasons in Miami. In that span, he played in 44 regular-season games and two in the postseason and logged 12 special teams tackles and six on defense.

He has played 588 career snaps on special teams in three years and 21 on defense. He spent the offseason and preseason with the Dolphins before being cut on August 26 as part of roster cutdowns.
