For Arizona Cardinals defensive lineman Kaleb Proctor, his rookie season ends before it even begins. They placed him on injured reserve, which ends his season.
Proctor, the Cardinals' fourth-round pick this year, selected No. 104 overall, suffered a torn meniscus in his knee during OTAs. Head coach Mike LaFleur indicated that Proctor would miss significant time, perhaps the entire season.
This move removes the possibility of coming back this season.
It freed up a roster spot for the team, which allowed them to sign defensive lineman Coziah Izzard, who tried out with the team on Tuesday.
Proctor is under contract through 2029, so hopefully he fully recovers and can make an impact in 2027.
