The 2026 league year is coming next month. It officially begins on March 11, with the legal negotiating period beginning on March 9.
The Arizona Cardinals have many roster decisions to make before then.
Leading up to the new league year, we will profile every player on the roster, go over what they did last season, what their contract status is and what they face in 2026.
Next up is punter Blake Gillikin.
Gillikin's season lasted only five games. He averaged a league-leading 51.7 yards per punt with a career-high 45.4-yard net average, but he suffered a back injury and didn't play again all season.
Gillikin will be an unrestricted free agent. He finishes up a two-year, $3.7 million contract.
Gillikin was fantastic in his time with the Cardinals, but he played in only 18 of the last 34 games. The Cardinals have a new coaching staff and new special teams coordinator, so we will see if the Cardinals decide to re-sign him, assuming he has recovered from his back injury.
