The Arizona Cardinals have a bit of legal drama as they get ready to open training camp on Wednesday. Offensive lineman Isaiah Adams is one of four individuals facing criminal charges in Canada, per 3 Down Nation.
Adams, the Cardinals' current starting right guard, turned himself on Sunday to Durham Regional Police Services after his sister, Allyson Mae Adams, was taken into custody from a home in Pickering, Ontario, charged with possession of a firearm obtained by crime, possession of a restricted/prohibited firearm with no license, possession of a loaded firearm and possession of a prohibited device. He was charged with the same offenses.
Police found a weapon that was reported stolen from the United States. The two other people involved were also charged with possession of fentanyl.
It isn't a good look as the Cardinals are set to start camp. Adams, a native Canadian, enters his third NFL season after being drafted by Arizona in 2023. He has finished both his NFL seasons as the starting right guard and ran with the first-team offense all offseason.
It is a story we will monitor.
