With less than a month until all Arizona Cardinals players report to training camp on July 22, third-round quarterback Carson Beck is now the club’s only unsigned draft pick.
Defensive lineman Kaleb Proctor, selected in the fourth round, recently signed a four-year contract worth $5,643,820 that included a signing bonus of $1,263,820.
Here is the breakdown of the four years on the original deal.
However, because Proctor suffered a knee injury during offseason work, he is expected to miss significant time and perhaps the entire season. When camp opens, he will likely be designated as active/physically unable to perform and then moved to reserve/PUP during the cut to 53 players on Aug. 30.
While on reserve, Proctor’s salary will likely be reduced to $515,000, while also lowering his cap charge.
Beck, who was the first choice in the round and 65th overall, is one of four unsigned third-round picks league-wide. Three of the third-rounders picked after him have signed and none received any guaranteed money beyond the signing bonus.
Overall, there are only 10 players from the draft yet to sign.
