The 2026 league year is coming up very soon. It officially begins at 1 p.m. Arizona time on March 11, with the legal negotiating period beginning on March 9 at 9 a.m. Arizona time.
The Arizona Cardinals have several roster decisions to make before then.
Leading up to the new league year, we will profile every player on the roster, go over what they did last season, what their contract status is and what they face in 2026.
Next up is defensive lineman Dante Stills.
In 17 games and three starts, Stills played 548 snaps (48 percent) along with 127 (28 percent) on special teams. He contributed 34 tackles (17 solo/two for loss) along with two quarterback hits and one pass defensed. His snaps have been similar in his three Cardinals seasons with 533 in 2023 and 534 in 2024.
Stills is completing the final year of his four-year rookie contract and his salary is $3.674 million with a cap charge of $3.7 million. His salary increased in Year 4 to be equal to the NFL’s restricted free-agent tender.
Stills has been quietly consistent during his three Cardinals seasons and will now be adjusting to another new position coach (Pete Kwiatkowski). There will be competition on the line and Stills will need an even better season to earn a new contract in 2027 whether it’s with the Cardinals or another NFL team.
