The Tennessee Titans teased at their new uniform and logo rebrand on social media in the early hours of the morning on Feb. 24, posting a photo of three navy blue stars stitched against a light blue backdrop with the date March 12, 2026 tagged underneath the photo and the caption "A new chapter begins."
Rumors began swirling about a potential Titans rebrand early in 2026, with those rumors hurtling towards a fervor on Feb. 14 when a plush football embroidered with a new Titans logo was briefly listed for sale on Fanatics.com. As The Tennessean reported at the time, conversations have been ongoing within the Titans organization about a potential rebrand, but nothing could be reported about whether or to what extent the alternate logo shown on the leaked image would be used in the Titans' future branding.
The three stars in the image the Titans put onto social media on Feb. 24 resemble the three stars in the leaked image, but the color scheme is different and the stars are not enclosed within a circle. The leaked image featured colors that more closely resembled the "Columbia Blue" patterns used in the old Houston Oilers jerseys, while the contrasting navy and light blue is more similar to the Titans-era color scheme. Neither image featured the flames or fully-extended sword that have been central to the Titans' branding since 1999.
The Titans have only had one primary logo since moving to Nashville in 1999. In that time, the franchise has tweaked and rebranded its uniforms but never abandoned the flames or the sword.
March 12 is a Thursday, the first full day of the 2026 NFL league year, which begins officially at 3 p.m. CT on March 11. That day and time also marks the official opening of free agency for 2026.
