Questions to ask;
Are the Cards building a war chest for a 2027 push?
How will 2027 free agency compare to 2026?
Has Ossenfort been assured he’ll be here in 2027?
Does Simpson make more sense if you’re targeting 2027?
Could they chance Pryor at RT if they’re preparing a 2027 push?
If they can’t maneuver to get Simpson, do they go RT or BPA?
If you’re looking 2027 could they take a developmental RT in a later round?
Which players should be extended now?
Which Cards will be gone in 2027?

Hahahahahaha

Wait for 2027 and the 2026 season hasn’t even started yet.

Harder and harder to even think about supporting this inept crap.

The only for sure bright spot is going to watch Fitz get inducted. Sad for him to waste his career in this pathetic loser franchise.

I’m not into the Simpson path. He’s undersized, has an average arm, and limited college experience. The pros are he’s a coaches son that processes the field well. So he’s basically Mac Jones. I’d rather wait until 2027.

IF we are thinking 2027, why even mention Simpson. We have two QB's (bridge) and if we want to draft another, wait for a late round project. If we use a 1st or 2nd round pick on Simpson that indicates we hope to get lucky in 26.
I believe the Simpson thinking would be they don’t want him starting yet. If he’s the backup, he’s one injury from having to start. His lack of major college experience likely means his best chance is with some development before hitting the field.

I know it’s painful but what was the path to immediately get a solid, starting QB? How do you contend without one?

They still have that option if he doesn’t develop

I think you have to go Bailey or Reese at 3. They will have a much bigger impact than OT at that spot and they are rated higher than any of the OT candidates. You have to pick the best player. There are three or four right tackle candidates that will be available at the top of the second round so I would wait until then before you look at that position. If you want to take a flyer on a QB, I think you wait until late in the third or the early fourth and see if Neussmeir is around.

“The bridge to nowhere” will be the title of the Cardinals 2026 NFL Films season in review production.

Is there a plan?

The biggest issue with Mike/Monti saying that 2026 is a reset year is having to admit that you failed at the prior reset -- even though everyone can see you failed at it

Precisely.

If you have two backup QBs to run the show, you, in fact, have no QB.

I'm not opposed to Simpson, groomed for a year, just not at #3.
I know some aren't ready to move on from MHJ, but he doe little to excite me for the future. I'd send him to the Colts for their #2 and Anthony Richardson. Package their #2 with Cards #2 to trade into later 1st to draft Simpson.

Ossenfort should have been fired. He thinks that he can copy Bill B's Patriots and outsmart everyone, while he is outsmarting himself. All of our FA signings are low cost (relatively to their highest paid FA peers) and almost all of them are former UDFAs, who made some noise relatively to expectations, but none of them are building blocks. This season is doomed, no matter what he does now. Because of this fact alone he should be sacked.

People say Simpson but not at 3…. But I think that’s the only way they get him…so do you think it’s Simpson at 3? Or fano vs Francis?
I think they can get him in the top 12 if they can find a trade partner. Beyond that it’s a risk after the combine. I don’t like him at 3, nor do I like the RT options that high. If they have to pick at 3, I’d take Bailey. If they trade down and someone beats them to Simpson I’m fine with either tackle (Fano best) or Bain, who may move inside.
