Rain and thunderstorms are expected before midnight, with some of the storms potentially severe and capable of producing heavy rainfall. There's a 100% chance of precipitation. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain are expected this evening.

If you're thinking about a doubleheader on Wednesday, the forecast isn't much better. There's an 80% chance of showers and thunderstorms during the day and evening on July 22. Rainfall totals are expected to be between a quarter-inch and a half-inch.

What happens if Phillies game is rained out?​

If one game is rained out, it's easy. The team could play a day-night doubleheader on Wednesday or move a game to Thursday – a mutual day off for both teams. If both games get rained out, it gets tricky.

Since this is the final regular-season series between the Phillies and Dodgers, there are a few options.

• The teams could play a doubleheader on Thursday. Both teams have a scheduled off day and would be well rested after back-to-back rainouts. The Phillies aren't traveling after the game. They open a three-game series against the New York Yankees on Friday at The Bank. The Dodgers have to travel, but only to New York City for a series against the New York Mets.
• MLB could reschedule the games for days when both teams have off days.
• The games could be canceled and then made up only if the results affect playoff positioning or seeding.

What's the Phillies' rainout ticket policy?​

If the game is not played on the date shown on the ticket, the following applies, according to the Phillies' website:

• When the canceled game is rescheduled to an open date or as part of a split doubleheader, the original ticket will be valid for entry to the rescheduled game only.
• If the canceled game is either not rescheduled or is rescheduled with an existing game to create a doubleheader, the ticket holder can receive an available ticket of equal or lesser value to a later game through the 60th day of next year's baseball season.
