Diamondbacks' Archie Bradley: Collects 16th hold
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Bradley was credited with a hold Tuesday after tossing a scoreless inning in the Diamondbacks' 3-2 triumph over the Giants. He gave up a hit and walk and struck out a batter in the outing.

Bradley continues to pace the majors with 16 holds, despite picking up only three over the past month while the Diamondbacks' losing ways shrunk their massive lead in the NL West. With the Arizona offense coming around in recent games and the starting rotation performing well, Bradley has begun to see his usage in higher-leverage spots pick up and has remained a dependable setup man to closer Brad Boxberger. Bradley owns a 2.51 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 28:8 K:BB in 28.2 innings on the campaign.

The Beard had a hiccup with the couple of 3-run homers (IIRC).

Last night vs. the Giants, his pitches were in the upper 90's.

Diamondbacks' Archie Bradley: Boosts MLB holds lead
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Bradley threw 1.1 perfect innings and struck out three en route to his 27th hold of the season in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Cubs.

Bradley and closer Brad Boxberger were dominant while polishing off the win for the Diamondbacks, striking out six of the Cubs' final seven batters. It was a strong bounce-back effort for Bradley after he was tagged for a season-high six runs while retiring just two hitters in his last appearance Friday against the Rockies.

It would still be a good idea for Archie to pick up an additional pitch to his fast ball.

Wasn’t he supposed to have a hell of a curveball too or was that someone else?

Yes, Archie's curveball has always been touted... and rightly so. It's an above average curveball. It appears he's lost confidence in it though, as he very rarely throws it!

Archie needs to go back throwing the curve and Lear a new pitch. Maybe a cut fastball?
