Greetings all:

Was going to throw out a line and see if anyone has experience in collecting or investing in nice timepieces? I started my investment today with a Rolex Daytona.

Nice.

My collection isn't too extravagant.

I have two large Invictas, a Seiko, Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, and Movado.

Any idea if Movados are worth anything these days? I have a watch from about 20 years ago.

Ive also learned that Omegas are a great investment due to it being the James Bond watch which is pretty cool.

My wife and I own about 35-40 Swatch watches each.

I bought my first one (X-Rated) in 1987 at the Broadway Southwest store at Los Arcos Mall.

Later on, we made it a tradition to get Swatches whenever we visit Vegas. It hasn't been every time through the city or we'd have a ton more.

Here is my wife's most recent Swatch:

I wish I had my Swatches still. I got them, they were pretty plain when they first came out. Just wild colors. I had a couple. The craze when they first came out was to wear more than one at a time. I saw people with four or five on their wrist. I could just manage two.

I have a daytona and love it. Great choice.

also have a breitling that I bought in Italy that is now a bit higher in value. I love navitimers, speedmaters and Daytonas.

have a few Disney citizen eco drives that I wear often.

Love me some mechanical watches. Have a modded Seiko SKX diver, my dad’s 1959 longines dress watch, rolex explorer I, and an Omega Speedmaster

My 4 yr old has even caught the bug after gifting him my own childhood Mickey watch last year haha…
