Seriously, every time he gets his hands on the ball he's in the endzone. Can we get this guy some offensive snaps or something? His vision and runing agility are uncanny. It's like his agility doubles when he has the ball in his hands. He usually looks stiff-hipped and takes bad angles in coverage and when running down players from behind ( :bang: ), but with the ball, he's just gone.

It's a shame Wilson was offsides on Rolle's pick last night, that would've sealed the game I think.

I took my Rolle jersey out of the closet this morning, dusted it off (not kidding), and am wearing it to work today. About time!

I think alot of this has to do with his move to Safety. I mean the guy did nothing at the Corner. I think he lacked the pure cover ability. However, he does have a nose for the ball and like you said, can run with it once he has it.

Great move for him to safety. I think it saved his career.

Question is whether or not he can be a decent FS. We were ready to cut him 3 weeks ago, but like you said... If he gets the ball he gets to the endzone. I'm torn.

He's still Antron. Whoopty doo that he is capable of taking one to the house on occasion. But if the NFL had a +/- stat like basketball, he would be way far in the negative.

Id rather him learn the fundamentals of the FS position and play consistent.

He said it himself on the Big Red Rage. When he intercepts a ball there are usually only 4 or 5 "athletic" guys on the field for the opposition. Many times 3 of them are downfield or on the other side of the field. He feels all he has to do is get by a couple of guys to take it to the house.
But, if you were to put him on punt returns , you have guys that are TRAINED to go downfield and make tackles in the open field. Big difference.
