The Minnesota Timberwolves entered the fourth quarter trailing on Saturday night in Game 3 of their second-round series against the Golden State Warriors.
But thanks to clutch performances from Julius Randle and Anthony Edwards, Minnesota dominated the final 12 minutes to secure a 102–97 win—marking their second straight victory in the series with Warriors star Stephen Curry sidelined—and take a 2–1 series lead.
Edwards delivered a standout performance, finishing with 36 points, four rebounds, and four assists. He scored 28 of those points in the second half, including 13 in the fourth quarter alone.
After the win, Edwards made a confident statement while walking off the court and into the tunnel, underscoring his belief in himself and the team.
"You gotta have confidence at an all time high... and I never lack that." Edwards said.
The first two games of the series weren’t Anthony Edwards’ best, but in the biggest moments, he continues to rise to the occasion—proving himself time and again this postseason. Still, he hasn't done it alone.
Julius Randle also delivered a stellar performance, recording a triple-double with 24 points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds. Together, the two stars accounted for 23 of the Timberwolves’ 36 made field goals.

With Game 4 set to take place in Golden State, the Timberwolves now have a prime opportunity to push the Warriors to the brink and take a commanding 3–1 series lead.
That would send the series back to Minnesota and place all the pressure on Golden State—especially with Stephen Curry’s status uncertain due to a hamstring strain suffered in Game 1. Curry was originally expected to miss at least a week, and his availability moving forward remains in question.
