The Minnesota Timberwolves need all the help that they can get to get back into this NBA Playoffs series against the Denver Nuggets. One key player that everyone has their eyes on is Anthony Edwards. He is currently playing through an injury and things are starting to look rough on the court. So, how does he feel despite these worries from fans and the team?

Timberwolves' Edwards surprisingly fine after playing through injury vs. Nuggets

Anthony Edwards was not able to play in the last five games of the Timberwolves' regular season campaign. He was suffering from right knee patellofemoral pain syndrome and is still nursing that very ailment during Game 1 of the NBA Playoffs first round against the Nuggets. A lot of Timberwolves fans were worried about how he looked on the court.

Edwards assured them that he feels fine despite the injury concern, via of Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic

"I felt good. I mean, a little fatigued. I haven’t played in like a month, month-and-a-half, so a little fatigued. But that was expected. Other than that, I felt good," the Timberwolves star said.

Coach Chris Finch and the Timberwolves trusted Edwards to play 38 minutes despite those injury woes. But, his output was not the most efficient. The Nuggets held him to 22 points as he only knocked down 36% of his shots from the field and only two of his three-pointers found the bottom of the net.

Regardless, Edwards was still able to collapse the Nuggets defense a lot too. He dished out seven assists to keep the Timberwolves offense running. On the defensive side, Edwards grabbed seven rebounds while also notching three blocks to protect the rim. Amid all of these, the Timberwolves were still not able to pull off the win and ended up with an unfortunate 116-105 loss.

Will Edwards revert back to his former self as the Timberwolves hope of making a deeper NBA Playoffs run?
