The Seattle Seahawks are at risk of losing both offensive and defensive coordinators. Klint Kubiak has been requested to interview for six different head coaching vacancies, making him tied for the third-most popular candidate this cycle. Aden Durde has received two requests.
That's the downside to finishing 14-3 during the regular season and earning the No. 1 seed in the conference. Now, another Seahawks coach is potentially up for promotion elsewhere. Seahawks defensive backs coach and passing game coordinator Karl Scott plans to interview for the Washington Commanders' defensive coordinator vacancy, according to various reports.
Scott has been in his current role with the Seahawks since 2022. Under his direction, cornerback Devon Witherspoon has developed into an All-Pro player. Nick Emmanwori is a candidate to win Defensive Rookie of the Year. The Seahawks allowed under 200 passing yards per game this season.
If Kubiak gets a head coaching job, Scott would be a potential candidate to follow him as his defensive coordinator. The two had a preexisting relationship before Seattle, having worked together with the Minnesota Vikings in 2021. Scott might be considered an underdog for the Commanders' DC job. Dan Quinn is casting a wide net and he's the only known option without previous play-calling experience.
The Seahawks might lose several assistant coaches this year.

Washington interviewed Seattle DB coach/pass game coordinator Karl Scott per me and @BradyHenderson for their defensive coordinator opening. He's the only one they've interviewed without prior DC experience. They will meet with Jonathan Gannon Thursday.
