Another Plummer Thread and Denver Fans

Here's the Real Deal on how the Denver fans are. As a QB You will be forgiven, stood up for, blatently inflated. You will be forgiven for loosing to the Bolts, the Jets, and San Fran. You can throw five INTs and fumble twice and the fans will stick up for you. The QB is GOD in Denver and any lacking skills will be overlooked. You are MAHATMA GANDHI Till you F-up against the Raiders. If you cost the Donkeys the game against the Raiders and you will NEVER live it down. They will boo you, they will flip off your wife in the Grocery store, they willthrow a duece on the hood of your car while you are in church. Do it for three years and you get run outta town.

And that my friends explains why the Denver fans are blind to the game last week. You can do no wrong till you loose to the Darkside.

I hope he comes through this week and starts to get comfortable, or closer to the point pulls a Trent Green, Rob Johnson, Rich Gannon and suddendly becomes more than just "exciting" and adds some consistancy to his game.

I have to say though, I still like the crazy Goodwill Guy of the NFL.

They disliked Griese before they found out he couldn't beat the Raiders.

A good point was made to me today by a Denver fan, a lot of the people on some of these boards are young enough that their entire Denver experience is Elway and those that followed. So they've never really been fans when Denver wasn't very good.

They have a heightened expectation. That's why if Jake keeps them from contending this year they will turn on him fast and hard. Last year many of them wanted Bledsoe, this year many wanted Leftwich, Boller or Grossman.

Let's face it Shanahan's 2 top choices were Warner(if released) or Jake. He was clearly looking for a resurrection project so he could get a good QB without a bidding war. Imagine if they'd got Warner and he was already out hurt?

I am a Plummer fan...don't know why, but I am. But the funiest thing I have seen on the Bronco board is

"He just has to get used to having that much time! You could tell that if the guys from the defense weren't in his face he would get all antsy and still get rid of the ball to soon. Once he gets used to having all that time and the fact that hes doesn't have to get rid of it right away he will be fine"

But it was more of a super moral anoying little brother that you disliked but respected. After the Raider games it was pure hatred.

Yea that week 3 Monday night game looms.

I can hear it now;
"He is just not used to playing on Monday night".

In any event it should be interesting to watch.

Allright MONDAY NIGHT...I can totally watch it because it won't be pre-empted by some kc-bengals game or something..

I know like a lot of you I am interested to see how plummer does....like I don't already have an inkling.....The broncos are #2 on my watch list this season.
