The Los Angeles Angels adjusted their bullpen following their loss in the first game of a three-game set against the New York Yankees.
The Angels recalled left-hander Sam Aldegheri from Triple-A Salt Lake, optioning southpaw Mitch Farris to Triple-A in a corresponding move.
Farris pitched during the Angels’ 11-10 loss against the Yankees on Tuesday, posting 1.1 scoreless innings with a strikeouts. He has a 2.08 ERA through 4.1 innings this season, with his only earned run coming against the Cincinnati Reds on April 10.
The left-hander came up to the Angels April 6 after right-hander Ryan Johnson landed on the 15-day injured list.

Aldegheri is making his first trip to MLB in 2026 after dipping his toes in during 2024 and 2025, and will hope to be a little more effective this time around.
He has seven MLB appearances under his belt, posting a combined 6.41 ERA through 26.2 innings pitched. He had a 7.90 ERA through four appearances in 2025 with 12 strikeouts.
The left-hander hasn’t been incredibly impressive in Triple-A this season either, as he has a 10.80 ERA through 13.1 innings pitched. The Angels will hope Aldegheri can provide some left-handed relief against the Yankees, who have plenty of capable left-handers on their roster.
Aldegheri will look to get a shot for the Halos in the second game of the series, which comes Tuesday at 4:05 p.m. PT.
