The Los Angeles Angels have been on a skid as of late. After losing five of their last seven games, including two straight, the Halos have fallen to 12-14 following a fast start to the season. Their current record of two games below .500 puts them in last place in the American League West division, two and a half games behind the first-place Texas Rangers.
One of the Angels' main issues this season has been their bullpen. Los Angeles currently ranks 25th in the Majors with a 5.02 bullpen ERA. As a result, the team has made some roster moves in hopes of adding a spark to the pitching staff.

On Saturday morning, the Angels announced the following transactions:
LHP Jake Eder has been recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake, the contract of RHP José Fermin has been selected, RHP Victor Mederos has been optioned and RHP Carl Edwards Jr. has been designated for assignment.
Edwards was a star with the Chicago Cubs for five seasons, particularly in 2018 when he posted a 2.60 ERA in 58 games.
As for the others, Eder has been decent in nine innings in Triple-A. He has posted a 6.00 ERA with a 13.9 K/9 rate. Fermin has been dominant in the Angels' system this season. In eight innings pitched, the 23-year-old has allowed just one run and surrendered just four base runners. He has pitched to a WHIP of .500 and has a K/9 rate of 16.9.
Both pitchers will look to provide a spark for a struggling Angels bullpen.
