Angel Reese knew Tuesday night was going to be different. The Atlanta Dream star returned to Chicago for the first time since her departure from the Sky, bringing an extra layer of intrigue to one of the most anticipated regular-season games on the WNBA calendar. But before Reese ever stepped onto the court at Wintrust Arena, she had already become one of the night's biggest storylines.
As has become customary for some of the league's biggest stars, Reese made a statement during her tunnel walk. The former LSU standout arrived wearing a long-sleeved plaid blazer dress paired with black platform heels and dark sunglasses. The look immediately caught the attention of fans after the WNBA shared video of her arrival on social media.
Within minutes, reactions began pouring in.
Angel Reese's arrival gets fans talking
Reese has become one of the most recognizable personalities in women's basketball, and her pregame fashion choices regularly generate discussion online.
Tuesday's look was no exception. Some fans praised the outfit and the confidence Reese brought to her return. Others focused on the platform heels, which quickly became a talking point across social media. Whether fans loved the outfit or questioned parts of it, Reese once again proved she knows how to command attention before tipoff.

Chicago return carried extra meaning
The fashion buzz was only part of the story. Tuesday marked Reese's first game back at Wintrust Arena since joining the Dream, making it an emotional homecoming of sorts.
During her time with the Sky, Reese quickly became one of the franchise's most popular players and helped elevate the team's national profile. Her return naturally drew plenty of attention from fans eager to see her back in Chicago, even if she was now wearing Atlanta colors.
The matchup had been circled on calendars for weeks.

Reese continues to shine with Atlanta
While her tunnel walk generated headlines, Reese's play on the court has been the biggest reason Atlanta has emerged as one of the WNBA's top teams.
Entering Tuesday night's game, the Dream sat atop the Eastern Conference with a 7-3 record. Reese has been a major factor in that success, averaging 13.3 points, 11.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.0 blocks per game.
Her ability to impact games in multiple ways has helped Atlanta establish itself as a legitimate contender early in the season. And if Tuesday's reactions were any indication, Reese remains just as popular off the court as she is productive on it.
