Andrej Stojaković announced Wednesday on social media that he is withdrawing from the 2026 NBA draft and returning to Illinois for his senior year.

Stojaković averaged 13.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and one assist while shooting 50% from the field in 34 games last season, including 21 starts. He registered eight 20-point performances, including a season-high 30 points and nine rebounds on Jan. 21.

The 6-foot-6 forward played a crucial role in helping the Fighting Illini advance to their first Final Four appearance since 2005, earning an All-South Region team selection. He had a tournament-high 21 points in their second-round win over VCU.

Stojaković announced last month that he planned to return to the program for next season, but he ultimately opted to test the predraft process. He ultimately decided to return just hours before the Wednesday 11:59 p.m. EDT withdrawal deadline.

The son of former 3-time All-Star Peja Stojaković was among the prospects who participated in the combine earlier this month, registering the sixth-highest max vertical jump (41 1/2 inches). He also conducted predraft workouts with the Boston Celtics and Memphis Grizzlies.

Stojaković was considered a possible second-round pick, which likely factored into his decision to return to school. He will have the chance to improve his overall skill set and ability next year as he looks to follow in his father's footsteps to the NBA.
