Pete Prisco of CBS Sports went back and regraded each of the 2023 NFL draft classes, which has turned out to be a very productive group for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Although in Year 1 of GM James Gladstone's tenure with the Jaguars, he overhauled Trent Baalke's roster, many of the 2023 draft picks not only stuck around, but have been key contributors.

Below is a look at the Jaguars' selections that year.

Regrading Jaguars 2023 NFL draft class

  • 1.27: OT Anthon Harrison
  • 2.61: TE Brenton Strange
  • 3.88: RB Tank Bigsby
  • 4.121: LB Ventrell Miller
  • 4.130: DL Tyler Lacy
  • 5.136: LB Yasir Abdullah
  • 5.160: S Antonio Johnson
  • 6. 185 WR Parker Washington
  • 6.202: CB Christian Braswell
  • 6.208: DB Erick Hallett
  • 7.226: OL Cooper Hodges
  • 7.227: DT Raymon Vohasek
  • 7.240: DL Derek Parish

Harrison, Strange, and Washington were all starters and high-level contributors last season. The Jaguars already picked up Harrison's fifth-year option for 2027, while Strange and Washington are contract extension candidates.

Antonio Johnson and Ventrell Miller are projected starters for the 2027 season. In addition to that, Christian Braswell took a step forward last season as depth at cornerback, while Yasir Abdullah has been a core special teams contributor.

Bigsby is no longer on the team, but Gladstone was able to trade him to Philadelphia and get some draft capital in return.

Originally, Prisco gave this draft class a B- grade. But now, he gives the Jaguars an A.

"First-round tackle Anton Harrison and second-round tight end Brenton Strange are good players on their offense," wrote Prisco. "Fifth-round safety Antonio Johnson had his breakout season in 2025 and sixth-round receiver Parker Washington did as well. He was their go-to guy at times last season. Fourth-round linebacker Ventrell Miller will take over for the departed Devin Lloyd and has started in the past. Third-round running back Tank Bigsby was traded to the Eagles."

Landing five potential starters along with two depth/special teams contributors from just one draft class is a homerun.
