Altafiber made an announcement on its website that it "has reached a long-term agreement with Major League Baseball to broadcast Cincinnati Reds games."

Earlier, Twitter/X replies from Altafiber indicated that a deal was in place to broadcast the Reds' games for the upcoming 2026 season.

"This agreement includes live games as well as pre‑ and post‑game coverage, and you can catch everything on Channel 24," Altafiber added in its announcement. "The channel will be live on March 25th."

The Reds' Opening Day game is scheduled for March 26 against the Boston Red Sox at Great American Ball Park. The Reds have never opened the season against Boston.

Altafiber announced March 9 it was actively negotiating with MLB in an effort to broadcast 2026 games.

Twitter/X replies March 17 from DirecTV indicate that the satellite TV provider intends to broadcast the Reds' games for the upcoming season.
