I'm doing this a little early, but I have some free time:

The Lost Highway Soundtrack is from a strange David Lynch film that came out in 1997. Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails) produces the soundtrack and does a great job adding tons of disjointed music together to make a great album. It's no small feat to put a Nine Inch Nails song back to back with a jazz peice from Angelo Badalamenti or Barry Adamson's elevator music and make them sound like they belong together.

This album is highly bi-polar, but it works. It's one of those albums that you can put on in the background while you clean the house or work on your car and not a single track bothers you.

Here's the tracks:

I'm Deranged - David Bowie/Brian Eno
Videodrones - Trent Reznor
The Perfect Drug - Nine Inch Nails
Red Bats With Teeth - Angelo Badalamenti
Haunting and Heartbreaking - Angelo Badalamenti
Eye - Smashing Pumpkins
Dub Driving - Angelo Badalamenti
Mr Eddy's Theme 1 - Barry Adamson
This Magic Moment - Lou Reed
Mr Eddy's Theme 2 - Barry Adamson
Fred and Renee Make Love - Angelo Badalamenti
Apple Of Sodom - Marilyn Manson
Insensatez - Antonio Carlos Jobin
Something Wicked This Way Comes - Barry Adamson
I Put A Spell On You - Marilyn Manson
Fats Revisited - Angelo Badalamenti
Fred's World - Angelo Badalamenti
Rammstein - Rammstein
Hollywood Sunset - Barry Adamson
Heirate Mich - Rammstein
Police - Angelo Badalamenti
Driver Down - Trent Reznor
I'm Deranged (reprise) (David Bowie/Brian Eno)

Marilyn Manson's cover of blues great Screaming Jay Hawkin's "I Put A Spell On You" is probably the weakest track, and it still holds it's own. If you like latin flavored jazz, then the Angelo Badalamenti tracks will be right up your alley.

This soundtrack has a little something for everyone, and while I hated the movie, I've been consistently listening to this album since it came out.
Great CD for roadtrips or drunken nights camping at Lake Powell!
