The NFL draft process continues for Alabama football quarterback Ty Simpson.

After he threw at Alabama's Pro Day Wednesday, March 25 in front of a smattering of NFL personnel, including Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Poles, Simpson was seen at Alabama football's Hank Crisp Indoor Facility holding a private workout for the New York Jets.

Jets coach Aaron Glenn and offensive coordinator Frank Reich were among the people Simpson was throwing in front of.

The Jets hold the No. 2 and the No. 16 picks in the 2026 NFL draft.

"I feel like I've done everything I can, but it's not up to me," Simpson said after his pro day about his possibilities of being a first-round draft pick. "I just know that wherever I go, I'm gonna give it my all and make sure I'll put my best foot forward."

Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza is widely regarded as the top quarterback in the 2026 NFL draft. Simpson has received recent buzz about challenging Mendoza for the top spot.

"The same way I processed you guys during the end of the year last year: you just got to ignore it and keep playing," Simpson said. "I get it. There's going to be a lot of questions around my name. I know what I'm capable of, and I know whoever gets me is gonna get a good player, and a guy who loves football, and a guy who loves the team and loves being a part of something bigger than himself."

The 2026 NFL draft will be held in Pittsburgh April 23-25.
