Alabama football 2027 recruiting class adds Hillcrest 3-star edge, analysis

Another 2027 pass rusher has committed to Alabama football, and this comes close to home.

Jeremiah Beverly, a three-star edge rusher from Tuscaloosa, committed to the Crimson Tide Friday, June 26, choosing Alabama over Wake Forest, Cincinnati and Troy.

Beverly, the No. 629 player, No. 53 edge rusher and the No. 25 in-state prospect, is the third member of the defensive line to pick Alabama, joining Georgia three-star Tyler Younger and Mobile three-star Avrian Pauley Jr..

Beverly is one of four in-state commitments in the 2027 recruiting class joining Pauley, Alabaster four-star quarterback Trent Seaborn and Arab three-star offensive lineman Stafford Willis.

What Jeremiah Beverly brings to Alabama football 2027 recruiting class

Beverly isn't the highest-ranked player in Alabama's 2027 recruiting class. But he has his sights set on the upper-echelon of edge rush play, name-dropping Nick Bosa, Micah Parsons and Aaron Donald as inspirations.

The 6-foot-2, 235-pound edge rusher has already developed a close relationship with Alabama outside linebackers coach Christian Robinson, who leads both the Wolf outside linebackers and Bandit defensive ends.

Beverly, more of a defensive end in stature, pairs well with Younger and Pauley, who are also each development pieces in the Crimson Tide's 2026 recruiting class.
