BYU lost to Oklahoma State Wednesday night (gross), but one comment from AJ Dybantsa at the beginning of the tv broadcast made waves when he said what his favorite class is at BYU. The FS1 crew that called the game said AJ told them off camera (presumably in pregame production meetings) that his favorite thing outside of basketball is going to class. He went onto say his favorite class he is taking is Book of Mormon taught by Tyler Griffin. The clip and quote from the FS1 broadcast is below.
“He (AJ) mentioned is favorite class is a religion class called The Book of Mormon. It’s really for all students in a diverse space. He wanted to praise his professor Tyler Griffin.”

I shared AJ’s comment in a post on X and it made the rounds on various corners of the internet, from LDS folks and NBA fans.
