It seems like nearly every year during the Open Championship, there are stories about players, fans or media members having nightmare travel stories when it relates to luggage.
That's no different this year. The latest victim? Ludvig Aberg.
The Swede hopped on a flight from Boston back home to Sweden for a couple days before teeing it up last week at the Genesis Scottish Open. This week, he'll play in his third Open, looking to improve on a T-23 finish last year at Royal Portrush.
However, he'll do so with a new driver in the bag and a new launch monitor, too. Let Aberg explain his travel issues.
"I had a rough time," Aberg starts during an interview on Live from the Range. "I flew from Boston after Travelers, and I had a couple days in Sweden after that. First off, my bags got lost. I didn't get them until three days later.
"Then when I pulled it out, my driver was snapped in half. My Foresight, the quad thing that I use, was cracked in half."
Losing your bags is one thing. Finally getting them three days later but finding you have multiple pieces of broken equipment is another level of disappointing.
Good thing for Aberg, he was likely able to replace the driver quickly and could also find a replacement for his launch monitor rather quickly. But ahead of the final major championship of the year, having to deal with broken equipment and baggage issues is nothing any pro should have to deal with, but Aberg's struggles are just the latest story this time of the year.
