After 114 days, Nottingham Forest end Dyche era and hand reins to Pereira

Nottingham Forest named Vitor Pereira as head coach on an 18 month contract after sacking Sean Dyche last week.

Forest make another coaching change

Nottingham Forest confirmed on Sunday the appointment of Vitor Pereira as the club’s new head coach. The Portuguese manager replaces Sean Dyche who was dismissed after short spell in charge.

Pereira becomes the fourth permanent manager of the season for Forest following Nuno Espirito Santo, Ange Postecoglou and Dyche. The decision underlines the club’s search for stability during difficult campaign.

Since 2020 Pereira has worked in five different countries, coaching clubs such as Shanghai Port, Fenerbahce, Corinthians, Flamengo and Al Shabab.

He joined Wolves in December 2024 but his spell at Molineux lasted only 11 month.

Forest’s fight for survival

Nottingham Forest currently sit 17th in the Premier League, just above the relegation zone. The club have gone three matches without a win with 12 game remaining in the season.
