Young Bucks Def. FTR | Cope and Christian Return

  • There was a great video package featuring the Young Bucks and their family with testimonials from their children. The Young Bucks’ kids joined Matt and Nick Jackson during their entrance, similar to John Cena’s WrestlePalooza entrance against Brock Lesnar. The Jackson family was donned in purple and gold in homage to the Lakers.
  • There was big heat for FTR, who came out in Boston Celtics warmups in Los Angeles. FTR gained the advantage early on in the match, drawing blood from Nick Jackson right in front of his kids.
  • The Young Bucks staged a furious comeback and returned the favor on Dax, who was busted open just as badly. With Dax bleeding like a stuffed pig, the Young Bucks slapped on double Sharpshooters. Just as Dax attempted to tap out, Dax bit his hand to prevent him from doing so. FTR escaped.
  • The Young Bucks hit a disgusting double suplex from the inside of the ring to the outside. It took almost the full count for both teams to reenter the ring. The Young Bucks spammed superkicks on the dazed FTR as Crypto.com arena came to its feet.
  • Big Stoke magically arose from his wheelchair and interfered as FTR hit a Shatter Machine on Nick for a nearfall. FTR followed up with a spike piledriver, but Nick got his foot on the bottom rope. The Bucks seemed to cross swords briefly, but they recovered with a BTE Trigger for another nearfall.
  • FTR hit an FTR Trigger on Nick Jackson, but he kicked out at one to the loudest pop of the night. As fans chanted “fight forever!” Nick Jackson hit a suicide dive on Stokely while he was in his wheelchair. The Bucks hit a Meltzer Driver for a shocking nearfall. Cash hit the ring and FTR hit an avalanche Shatter Machine on Nick Jackson for the win.
  • After the match, Cope (Edge) and Christian returned to enormous pops. They took out FTR and posed with the AEW Tag Team Championships.

Young Bucks vs. FTR Match Grade: A+

Toni Storm Def. Marina Shafir | Ronda Rousey Returns

  • Marina Shafir was fantastic from the moment she walked through the crowd—though she appeared to get lost for a bit. Shafir mercilessly talked trash to the crowd as well as Toni Storm. Shafir had her way with Toni and laid in with stiff kicks.
  • Marina twisted Toni up like a pretzel and slapped her bum like a butt bongo. Toni Storm rallied back, even going tit-for-tat with Shafir in strikes. Toni Storm hit three consecutive butt bumps in the corner followed by a Storm Zero for a nearfall. The crowd seemed a bit deflated when Marina kicked out.
  • Storm defeated Shafir with a Big Package for the win.
  • After the match, Ronda Rousey made a surprise appearance and called out Toni Storm. Rousey leaned into her role as a heel, even in hometown of Los Angeles. Rousey came face-to-face with Storm, but Shafir laid out Storm. Rousey left with Storm, and it was later confirmed that Rousey was a Death Rider associate. This was a shrewd way for Rousey to cross-promote her upcoming bout against Gina Carano.

Toni Storm vs. Marina Shafir Match Grade: B+

Will Ospreay Returns; Jon Moxley Def. Konosuke Takeshita

  • Moxley defeated Konosuke Takeshita with a Bulldog Choke. It was an intense, stiff, back-and-forth war featuring several nearfalls and false finishes. Takeshita was busted open. Mox and Takeshita made use of the one-count-kickout yet again to a huge pop, but slightly less than what the Nick Jackson got. Mox became the first wrestler to kick out of a Burning Hammer.
  • After the the match, a video package aired for Will Ospreay. Ospreay made his return to AEW in-person. Will went straight for Moxley, and fought off the Death Riders with his signature high-flying offense. Will looked as spry as ever and appears to be cleared to return from neck injury. In the first 90 minutes of AEW Revolution, there have been three incredible matches followed by three A-list returns.

Megan Bayne And Lena Kross Def. Babes Of Wrath

  • Willow Nightingale suffered a (kayfabe) shoulder injury during the pre-show while successfully defending the TBS Title against Lena Kross. Willow cut a backstage promo before the match, vowing to give it her all despite being hobbled. Famous last words.
  • Megan Bayne and Lena Kross worked over Willow’s shoulder. Harley Cameron fought off the heels but was overpowered. Willow made a comeback, but was selling her injured shoulder.
  • Lena Kross chokeslammed Willow for the pinfall. Bayne and Kross are the new AEW Women’s tag team champions. After three consecutive awesome matches, fans were starting to show signs of fatigue.

Bayne and Kross vs. Babes of Wrath Grade: C

Swerve Strickland Def. Brody King

  • This match started like every other Brody King match in a liberal city: with “F Ice” chants. Fans continued the chants as Brody King overwhelmed Swerve with Strikes and forearms. Swerve battled back with strikes of his own as Prince Nana talked trash to King.
  • Powered by “F Ice" chants, Brody brawled back. Swerve attacked Brody’s wrists and stretched his arm over the turnbuckle. Brody countered and trapped Swerve in an illegal hold over the ropes. Swerve tapped, but it did not count.
  • King dropped Swerve on the steel step for an ugly bump. King hit another stiff bump on the outside with a modified Blackhole Slam. Swerve worked against gravity to hit a power bomb on the apron. Between these two wrestlers, months were taken off their careers from this match alone.
  • Bryan Danielson was in on commentary for this match, and he was brilliant.
  • Swerve tried to stomp Brody’s head onto steel, but Brody fought for his life and succeeded. Brody hit a diving crossbody on Swerve followed by a One Winged Angel for a nearfall. Brody caught Swerve in a draping sleeper hold as Swerve dropped.
  • While on the outside, Swerve exposed the steel and hit a vertabreaker on King. King barely made it back into the ring, but was met with a Swerve Stomp. Another one-count-kickout to a lesser reaction than before. Swerve followed up with a House Call for the win.
  • After the match, Kenny Omega returned and ran off Swerve, who failed in his attempt to crush Brody with cinderblock .

Swerve Strickland vs. Brody King Match Grade: B+

Thekla Def. Kris Statlander

  • Thekla won the first fall with a rollup while holding the bottom rope. Statlander immediately bulldozed through Thekla for the beginning of a long second fall. Statlander bounced Thekla back-and-forth on the guardrails. Fans battled back-and-forth with chants for both Thekla and Statlander.
  • Kris Statlander stuck Thekla with a Sunday Night Fever, winning the second fall. Statlander tried another Sunday Night Fever, but Thekla crawled out of it. There was a ref bump, followed by outside interference from Julia Hart and Skye Blue.
  • Statlander fought off Hart and Blue with a belt. Thekla pounced and hit Kris with a Spear followed by two stomps for the win.

Thekla vs. Kris Statlander Match Grade: B

Jetspeed And Mistico Def. Don Callis Family

  • Once again, nobody in America knew the words to Mistico’s song, but he wowed the crowd with his signature lucha offense. Mistico connected with a springboard crossbody on Mark Davis as well as a running hurricanrana. He received a great reaction from a double hurricanrana from the top rope. Mistico really played to the crowd, perhaps too much.
  • Kevin Knight, Mike Bailey and Mistico all came out with masks on. All three of them wrestled in the masks, but Knight and Bailey were both unmasked, probably for the better so they could breathe easier.
  • Okada and Knight had a showdown. Okada flipped off Knight, but Knight bit his finger and followed up with a dropkick. The Rainmaker returned fire with another dropkick.
  • Okada introduced a Trios Title into the match, but Fletcher missed. Bailey and Knight hit an assisted shooting star kneed drop, but Davis broke up the count at the last second. Mark Davis was a “one-man destruction team” in the words of Tony Schiavone. Davis hit a sick piledriver on Bailey, but it was broken up by Mistico.
  • As Mistico had Davis trapped, Knight and Mistico cleared the ring with a reverse Frog Splash for the win. Mistico is now a Trios champion in two countries.

Jetspeed and Mistico vs. Don Callis Family Match Grade: B+

Andrade Def. Bandido

  • Andrade teased removing his pants, but to everybody’s surprise, Bandido removed his to a big reaction. Bandido shoot struggled to remove his pants, and Andrade jumped him, making him look like a foolish babyface.
  • Bandido attempted a springboard, but Andrade caught him and slammed him with a power bomb. Fans broke out into a “F Don Callis/F Ice, Too!”
  • Andrade removed his pants and posed with a plant in the crowd. By the time he got back into the match, Bandido was fully recovered, but Andrade slowed him down with a side headlock.
  • Bandido slipped out of the headlock and ran wild on Andrade. He remained one step ahead of Andrade, knocking him down as both men were laid out. Don Callis argued with Aubrey Edwards before Bandido hit an impressive Tornillo.
  • Andrade and Bandido exchanged chain suplexes and three amigos. Bandido won out, eventually sticking Andrade with three suplexes in a row. Andrade hit an amazing moonsault off the top rope onto the outside where he cleared the ring post. He celebrated with another selfie with another fan. Andrade hit his double-jump moonsault for a nearfall.
  • Andrade ate a 21 Plex but kicked out. Andrade came back with a spinning elbow followed by the DM for the win. Andrade’s aura was on 9,000 tonight. AEW needs to seriously consider making him world champion in the very near future.

Bandido vs. Andrade Match Grade: B

The Dogs Vs. Darby Allin, Orange Cassidy and Roderick Strong

  • Just as the crowd was starting to take the night off, Clark Connors hit a filthy spear on the apron and onto the mat. The Dogs followed up with a Doomsday Device. Fans went wild for this.
  • AEW was chained to the turnbuckle by his neck as the Dogs teed off on him. The Dogs turned their attention to Orange Cassidy and mauled him. Cassidy helplessly tried to fight back, but Gabe Kidd delivered a snug forearm to the face.
  • Roderick Strong came to the rescue with a comeback to get his team back into the match. Strong used Orange as a battering ram against the Dogs. Darby was still chained up through all of this.
  • Fans chanted “please help Darby!” and Strong and Orange rescued him. Darby immediately launched himself onto Connors and Finley with a Coffin Drop.
  • Darby took another nasty bump onto the apron. Gabe Kidd absconded Darby’s skateboard and stalked him with it. Darby took control of his skateboard and hit an ollie 0ff the stage and on the back of Gabe’s head.
  • Darby zip-tied Kidd to the stage. Back inside the ring, Strong and Cassidy took advantage of a two-on-one advantage to beat Clark Connors.

The Dogs vs. Orange Cassidy and Roderick Strong Match Grade: B

MJF Def. Hangman Adam Page

  • Hangman Adam Page walked out to Mariachi music. He took a bite out of barbed wire wrapped around his arm. Excalibur talked over the beautiful music by recounting MJF and Hangman’s history, dating back to Hangman winning AEW’s first-ever match at the Casino Battle Royale. Page won by eliminating MJF.
  • MJF’s vignette was amusing. It was a cowboy-inspired pre-tape where cowboy MJF urinated on Hangman’s grave for an extended period of time. MJF walked out in his cowboy gear with a cowboy hat, poncho and Terry Funk tights.
  • MJF forced Justin Roberts to say he “was not from a piece of s—t town like Los Angeles.” Fans were split between MJF and Hangman Adam Page. The action spilled to the crowd and MJF was bleeding from the mouth already. Page clocked MJF with a trash can lid and then grabbed a staple gun.
  • Page stapled Max’s hand and gave him a papercut to boot. There was a light chant of “you sick F.” Page stapled a piece of paper to MJF’s skin that read “Happy Birthday.” Fans wished MJF a happy 30th with a “happy birthday” chant.
  • Page brought in a window, but MJF took control and smashed the window against the ring mat. “You ain’t gonna catch me doing that indie bulls—t!” said MJF. MJF then walked into a suplex onto the broken glass. Tremendous heel work. Page then dragged Max across the shards of glass. Page busted MJF open with barbed wire. Adam made MJF taste the barbed wire, wrapping it around his mouth as Max bled profusely.
  • MJF got his 10 pounds of flesh by using a shard of glass to open up Hangman. Now Hangman was busted open for the double juice. Heel Max grabbed a broom from outside of the ring and swept the glass out of the ring. Loud boos. Fans chanted “sweep forever," and were even disappointed when Page snapped the broom in half. Apparently some of these fans didn’t want to see any indie bulls—t either.
  • There were light chants for Hangman and MJF as Max grabbed a syringe. MJF stabbed Page with a syringe as it went all the way through his cheek. The entire crowd gasped. With the syringe still stuck in Hangman’s mouth, Page fought back with a right hand. The crowd shots of horrified fans were amazing, and one even got a loud pop of laughter.
  • MJF hit Page with an Alabama Slam on a chair wrapped in barbed-wire. Page answered with a Deadeye. Both beat the 10 count by nine. Page lacerated MJF’s back with a fallaway slam to the barbed wire chair. MJF barely beat another 10 count after a Deadeye through the table. MJF hit a tombstone through a table and this time it was Hangman answering at nine.
  • There were split chants between MJF and Hangman as the two slowly rose to their feet in the ring. Both MJF and Page grabbed light tubes and stared each other down from across the ring for a duel. MJF had other ideas. He backed away. Page followed him up the ramp. Page scored with a light tube across the back. Page followed up with a light tube right to the face.
  • Page and MJF had a seesaw battle with a fist full of skewers. Page won out and stabbed the skewers into Max’s head. “He just got his hair done," joked Danielson. Page hit a Buckshot Lariat while MJF had a headful of skewers. MJF barely answered the 10 count as fans groaned.
  • Hangman chained himself to MJF with double dog collar chains, shades of AEW Revolution 2025. Fans chanted “we want fire." Instead, Page grabbed a barbed-wire board and placed it on top of a table. Fans continued to chant “we want fire!”
  • Hangman climbed to the top rope, but MJF used the chain to throw him onto the barbed wire table. Page beat the count at the last possible millisecond. The battle reached the top of the stage. Page and MJF flew off the stage with a belly-to-belly suplex off the stage and through a table. Pyro went off after the landing. Page and MJF somehow made it to their feet.
  • Fans barked and chanted “he’s a good boy” as Page dragged MJF to the ring on a leash like a dog. MJF struck Page with the world title accompanied by the sound of a sickening thud. Page got up at 9.9 and hit MJF with the belt. MJF stopped another Buckshot Lariat and strangled Hangman with the chain. When he released the hold, Hangman’s face hit the lens, leaving a spot of blood on the lens.
  • The camera stayed with the bloody shot as Bryce Remsburg counted to 10. MJF won, Hangman will never be able to challenge for the AEW World Championship again. Allegedly.
