The Toronto Blue Jays are set to receive a major boost to their lineup with Addison Barger set to return this Friday against the Los Angeles Angels. However, the news comes with a difficult decision to make for manager John Schneider.
Sportsnet's Ben-Nicholas Smith confirmed that Barger will be active for Friday's game. However, he noted that it will be a "tough decision" for Schneider to drop a position player.
Barger last played on 4th April against the Chicago White Sox. He suffered a left ankle sprain, disrupting both his season and the team's rhythm. His injury, coupled with other roster requirements, led to a sluggish start for the defending American League champions.
