The NBA All-Star Game has been on the receiving end of criticism for the low level of competitiveness players show every year. The main event of the All-Star weekend has gone through major changes in the last seven years.

After many years of the classic East vs. West format, the league attempted to spice things up by making the two bigger vote-getters from each conference draft their respective teams. The NBA has reached new heights in popularity in the last two decades or so. More international superstars have joined the competition, taking it to new heights. This could be the solution for the All-Star game apparent never-ending issue, but it'll be up to the players to match the expectations.
