We are five weeks into ACC play, and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have passed the FSU Seminoles as the No. 1 team in the conference.
Georgia Tech swept Cal over the weekend, improving to 12-3 in the conference. While FSU picked up a road series win over No. 14 Virginia, it was not enough to hold off the Yellow Jackets. The two programs are set to meet this weekend in Atlanta for one of the top series of the season.
The only other ACC program with 10 or more conference wins already is the North Carolina Tar Heels, who are fresh off taking a series from the Boston College Eagles after losing Game One. Virginia and Wake Forest are both dangerous and nipping on the heels of the top four teams.
Clemson picked up a major series win over Stanford as they look to turn their season around, but it will be quite a climb for the Tigers, who struggled out of the gate. Cal is still the only ACC program without an ACC series win, something that could prove elusive for the Golden Bears.
Here are the ACC standings after Week 5 of conference play.
