Samuele Ricci nearly gave away a cheap penalty in last night’s Serie A showdown between AC Milan and Inter Milan.

According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInter1908, veteran referee Daniele Doveri made a correct decision in the final moments of the game.

AC Milan clawed their way back into the Serie A title race with a narrow 1-0 Derby della Madonnina win yesterday.

Indeed, the Rossoneri completed their first league double over their bitter rivals since the 2010/11 season.

Meanwhile, Inter finished the game with a disappointing 0.53 xG, recording their second consecutive scoring blank in all competitions.
