Aaron Rodgers Calls Dr. Anthony Fauci a ‘Coward,’ Says Covid Was ‘Made in a Lab in China’

Aaron Rodgers is not holding back on his feelings towards Dr. Anthony Fauci.

Fauci — who served as the White House chief medical advisor under former president Joe Biden — was recently questioned about the origins of the coronavirus pandemic and the government’s response to the spread.

He invoked his Fifth Amendment right more than 100 times at last week’s hearing.

During his appearance on the Monday, August 3, episode of The Pat McAfee Show, the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback was asked by host Pat McAfee about how he feels going into his final NFL season.

“I’m going to plead the fifth,” Rodgers, 42, began, “like that absolute coward Tony Fauci.”

The Super Bowl champ then went on a lengthy tirade about the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), asking: “Are you kidding me? You got a pardon and you pleaded over 100 times at the White House? What are you scared of, Tony? I thought you were the science?”

Before leaving office in January 2025, Biden, 83, issued Fauci a preemptive federal pardon covering January 1, 2014, through January 19, 2025.

“You get up there, and you can’t answer a question?” Rodgers continued, saying that not enough attention is paid to Fauci, 85, but instead on things like the football player’s “vaccination status.”

Taking aim at Fauci and his handling of the Covid-19 pandemic, Rodgers asked: “What are they going to say about me now? Now that you can’t talk about the Covid stuff because obviously that was made in a lab in China — that’s not even questionable any more. Tony Fauci is an absolute criminal.”

At the U.S. Senate committee hearing held July 29, Republican senator Rand Paul accused Fauci of lying to Congress and withholding information from the American people, parroting an unverified claim that Covid-19 originated in a lab.

More than 1.2 million Americans died as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, making it the deadliest public health disaster in modern U.S. history.
