Aaron Rai first started turning heads when he walked into Aronimink Golf Club wearing two gloves. Fast forward a few days, and he has become one of the premier names in the conversation to lift the Wanamaker Trophy.
This year's PGA Championship was Rai's best finish at a major in his 14-year professional career. He made his professional debut in 2012 at the age of 17, instead of playing golf at the collegiate level.
That decision paid off for the Wolverhampton, England, native. He has found some success on the DP World Tour, with three wins, and has now been near the top of the PGA Championship leaderboard for several days.

Has Aaron Rai won a major?
Prior to Sunday's final round concluding, Rai had not won a major in his 14-year professional career. His best finish has been T-19 (2021 Open Championship, 2024 U.S. Open, 2025 PGA Championship).
Heading into Sunday's final round, Rai was in a five-way tie for second place at 4-under par, with Alex Smalley leading. One of the highlights of Rai's final round came on a shot out of the bunker on the 13th hole.

Rai shot it 39 yards out of the bunker and laid it within seven feet of the pin. He went on to hit a crucial birdie to put him two strokes ahead at 7-under.

How old is Aaron Rai?
Rai is 31 years old. He was born on March 3, 1995, in Wolverhampton, England.
Rai turned professional in 2012 at the age of 17, instead of opting to play college golf. Before playing on the PGA Tour, he built his reputation on the DP World Tour. On the DP World Tour, he has earned three wins, according to the tour's website.
