May 15—LIBBY — Three Kalispell pitchers combined on a four-hitter and the AA Lakers put up crooked numbers in three innings during a 19-1 Legion baseball win over Class A Libby Wednesday.
Brady Buckmaster hit an RBI triple and scored four runs from the leadoff spot for the Lakers (9-4). Hunter Fann, Kaeden Kahler and Cale Brink all drove in three runs each, and Luke Nikunen, who was hit twice by pitches, and Wyatt Asher each scored three times.
Kahler had an RBI double in the first inning, and Croft's double added another in a seven-run second inning for the Lakers. Fann hit a two-run double in a four-run fourth inning.
In a six-run fifth inning, Kalispell scored twice via bases-loaded walk and twice when hitters were hit with the bases juiced. The Lakers piled up 12 hits and 18 drawn walks off seven Libby pitchers.
On the hill, Kyler Croft started and threw three innings, allowing one hit and one walk while fanning two Loggers (2-10). Brink and Kahler split the last four innings; Brink allowed two hits, two walks and one unearned run. He and Kahler both struck out one batter.
Aiden Rose hit a double for the Loggers.
