No we don't have any true superstars, but in a perfect world with no injuries and all guy playing well and having solid seasons, we are in good shape at 17 of our 22 starting positions.

Offensive positions where we are in good shape:
Left Tackle-LJ Shelton
Left Guard-Chris Dishman
Center-Pete Kendall
Right Guard-Leonard Davis
Right Tackle-Anthony Clement
Tight End-Freddie Jones
Quarterback-Jeff Blake
Fullback-James Hodgins
Tailback-Emmitt Smith/Marcel Shipp

Defensive positions where we are in good shape:
Left End-Kyle Vandenbosch
Right Tackle-Wendell Bryant
Outside Backer-Ray Thompson
Middle Backer-Ron McKinnon
Cornerback-David Barrett
Cornerback-Duane Starks
Strong Safety-Adrian Wilson
Free Safety-Dexter Jackson

If the Cards roll out the red carpet for Mushin Muhammed after June 1st would could be solid at 18 positions and if either Johnson/McAddley/Boldin/Gilmore step up we could be set at all 11 positions on the offense. If the quantity over quality approach prevails on the defensive line and guys like DJ and Pace step up then there could be another position that is solid. Throw in Levar Fisher having a big year and who knows we could have something next season.

Again, this is a very optimistic look.

In my personal opinion, I think Kendall will remain at Guard and that there will be an open battle at Center with Garcia, Starkey, and Grace. The good thing is that Garcia and Starkey have significant starting experience.

I agree with the man above me about the center position.

The other DT besides Bryant should look like this:

DT - Davis/Tanner

By the way there is talk about James Darling taking over McKinnon's role as a starter. I think it is that McKinnon is getting really slow, and that Darling is known for his speed.
